McNellie's Public House and Marshall Brewing

Alan and I went to Tulsa last Saturday and stopped by the Rugby hangout of McNellie Public House. Excellent Food, Nice atmosphere, Great Beer selection. The Best thing was the discovery of Marshall Brewing Co.'s Pub Ale cask aged and served from a beer engine! It is a special Bitter and was really really really nice! They also had the IPA, also from Marshall, on cask/beer engine. Neither I nor Alan was as impressed with this serving of IPA. The regular draft with a bit more CO2 seemed to suit the beer better. It was excellent as a draft beer, just not quite as yummy via beer engine. But as I said, the Pub Ale was great!

I have had the Pub Ale, when Kat and I went to Tulsa for the Foam Cup last fall. It was on tap and free at the awards dinner!!! The IPA was also on tap, but the Pub Ale is good stuff.
