I've seen a number of approaches to building equipment for sparging. My old Listerman Sparge arm while cool is on it's last legs. I like the idea of a rotating sprinkler like I have now, but I can't for the life of me figure out how I could build one. have any of seen any plans for this kind of thing? I'd also be interested to know if you have had luck with other methods of sparging. Cheers! Steve

I started batch sparging out of necessity when I was held up in my one bedroom apartment 2 years ago and have never looked back. It has been quicker, easier and actually increased my efficency although it is suppose to decrease efficency. I guess I was fly sparging too fast.

I mash in and rest for 60 mins., drain as fast as possible, then refill the mash tun and stir, drain once again and repeat one last time.
